Uniform
School uniform is compulsory for all students and an important element of our school’s ethos. We hold high standards for how uniform should be worn, and all students are expected to wear their uniform correctly and take pride in their appearance.

School Lanyard |
All students and staff wear a school lanyard including on non-uniform days and during external exam periods. |
School Sweatshirt* |
Dark navy sweatshirt, round neck, with school logo. |
School Shirt* |
Navy and white cotton striped shirt. Long or short sleeve. Fully tucked into the waistband with collar out. |
School Skirt* |
Dark navy regulation skirt, with or without school logo. School skirts should be no shorter than mid-way between knee and hip, at a respectable length for a school environment. Skirt should be worn properly on the waist and not rolled up. |
School Trousers* |
Dark navy regulation trousers, Straight-leg. |
Tights |
Plain opaque black or navy Tights must be in good condition. |
Footwear |
Shoes must be all black and provide support and protection for the feet. Sensible flat or low heels shoes or plain black trainers are acceptable. Backless, toeless shoes, canvas pumps are not appropriate footwear. |
Outdoor Coat |
Plain outdoor coat suitable for all weather. Hoodies and non- school sweatshirts should not be worn in place of a coat. Outdoor clothing is never worn during lessons. |
Head Scarves |
Students are welcome to wear head scarves. They must be plain navy blue or black. They should be neat and fastened securely. No other items of religious dress including face coverings are permitted. The policy on religious dress is available from school. |
School Bag |
Fasten able school bag e.g. a ruck sack. Lap top bag and suitable bag for PE kit. Open bags or carrier bags are not acceptable. |
Jewellery |
One pair of plain stud earrings in each ear may be worn. A necklace may be worn but must not be visible. One bracelet may be worn. Any other jewellery is not allowed. No tongue, nose or other facial piercings are permitted. All jewellery must be removed for Physical Education and other practical activities as required. Tattoos are not permitted. |
Hair |
Hair should be kept in a neat style. Long hair will be tied and secured away from the face, neck and shoulders when learning activities dictate e.g. Physical Education, Food Tech, DT and practical work in a science laboratory. Hair accessories (clips, grips or head bands for the purpose of tying back long hair) should be of a plain style. Hair colours must be natural. Unnatural bleaching or dyeing is not permitted: Extremes of hairstyle e.g. visible lines/patterns/symbols shaved into the head are not allowed. If a parent /carer is in doubt about whether a hairstyle/ hair colouring may not be permitted they should contact school for clarification prior to any change being made. |
Make Up |
Key Stage 3 (Year 7, 8, 9) students are not allowed to wear make-up/fake tan or nail varnish.’ Key Stage 4 (Year 10 & 11) students are allowed to wear discrete/subtle make up, including discreet nail varnish and fake tan. False eye lashes, nail extensions, false nails/acrylic nails must not be worn due to Health and Safety concerns. |
